I have just finished the first day of Autodesk University here in Las Vegas. It has been action packed with many sessions. Despite the downturn, the halls of the conference centre are still filled with thousands of people here to learn and share product knowledge.

By far the most interesting session of the day for me was by Amory Lovins, Chief Scientist at the Rocky Mountain Institute who talked about integrated design, an approach that looks at whole systems rather than individual components, crucial for optimising designs to gain maximum energy efficiency.
Looking forward to more great sessions tomorrow, and for anyone here in Vegas stop by the AEC Lounge Sustainability Station between 11.30am and 1.30pm on Wednesday and say hello.
