Ecobuild 2010 in London

 

It is just over a week away to the Ecobuild event taking place at London's Earls Court, if you are going, be sure to visit the UK Green Building Council's stand. I will be there with some colleagues, and on the Tuesday and Thursday, Autodesk will host an 'Ask the Expert' session on designing a low carbon environment.

Norway chooses BREEAM for environmental assessment

Last week Norway's Green Building Alliance chose the UK's BREEAM environmental assessment method as the basis for their sustainability classification. This was chosen in preference to LEED. You can read the article translate from Norwegian here.

Photovoltaics in Urban Environments

I have recently been made aware of a searchable online database of urban projects utilising photovoltaics that might be useful if you are researching this area. It was put together as part of the Intelligent Energy Europe PV Upscale project.

Green Building Studio - New Release

A new release of Green Building Studio has now gone live. Version 4.2 includes user interface enhancements that will help with project setup, navigation and organisation of data....... and the roll out of weather data for more parts of the globe, in this case Central and South America, the Caribbean, Indonesia and Southwest Pacific, the Middle East, and Africa. With this virtually all of the World is now covered.
