Autodesk BIM Conference

Last week I attended the Autodesk BIM Conference in London. We had over 300 attendees which goes to show the interest behind the drive to Building Information Modelling in the UK continues to grow. Notable speakers included Autodesk VP Phil Bernstein, John Tocci of the US Contractor Tocci Construction, Paul King of the UK Green Building Council, Richard Wise of Ryder Architecture, and Paul Morrell the Chief Government Construction Adviser, amongst others.

Of particular note was Paul Morrell's indication that the UK Government are considering the move to specifying BIM for Government projects. The industry awaits with bated breath.
